Ash Improvement Technology Inc. (AIT) is a technology-driven mineral resources company that has developed a proprietary process to convert coal combustion residues into a valuable building product with proven environmental benefits. AIT's patent-pending technology, named CleanCem, is applied directly at power plants and eliminates the production of waste ash, instead converting it into a chemically modified product used as a cost-effective replacement of cement. Every ton of CleanCem product used avoids up to 0.85 tons of CO2 emissions and avoids the landfilling of waste ash, while lowering the production cost of concrete.
